The YPF Cost-Share Program is available to farmers in the Yahara Watershed. The program is designed to help minimize the risk associated with trying new conservation practices on your farm.
In 2020, the eighth-year of the YPF Cost-Share Program, participation in the program reached an all-time high in numbers of farmers and acres enrolled in the program. In total, those farmers participating in the Cost-Share Program helped to reduce the predicted delivery of phosphorus to Madison Lakes and the Yahara River by 40,000 pounds. That phosphorus is staying in place on farm fields working hard to keep soil in place and for future years’ crops.
